Run a simulated hockey league without the manual scorekeeping

A good fit for a group of friends who want to manage hockey teams without operating a separate desktop simulator or copying scores into spreadsheets. Everything below is handled within the online league:

  • Schedule creation from the league format, with fictional teams ready to manage.
  • Automatic game-day simulations on the server at 6:30 p.m. Eastern once the season has started, even with your browser closed.
  • Shared results and standings calculated from completed games, with available 2D replays to watch.
  • CPU management of unclaimed teams: you do not need a human GM for every club to get started.

You run the community. Each GM runs a club.

As commissioner, you choose the league setup, invite your friends and manage membership. Each GM prepares lineups, tactics, contracts and trade decisions. WebPuck handles the game simulation and scorekeeping so you can spend more time on those hockey decisions.

The current alpha is free, with French and English interfaces on desktop and phone. Leagues use fictional clubs and players.

1. Sign in with your email

Choose Multiplayer, enter your email address and select Sign up / Sign in. Enter the eight-digit code from the email to continue. The code is valid for ten minutes; the first successful verification creates your account.

If the code does not arrive, check the address and your spam folder. If email sign-in is shown as unavailable, try again later.

2. Create your league and invite your friends

Choose Create a league, name it, select a North American or Québec circuit and pick your club. Set it to private for an invitation-only group, or public so other GMs can find it. Choose the playoff format and a start delay to give your friends time to join.

After creation, share an invitation link. Your friends sign in by email, accept the invitation and claim an available club. You can start with a few friends and let CPU GMs manage the other teams.

3. Joining an existing league instead?

Use Find a league to browse public leagues. Leagues with open spots appear first; search by name to narrow the list. A full league has no club available to claim.

For a private league, use the Invitation code or link field and Accept invitation. You can also create your own league, choose its visibility and invite friends.

4. Claim an available team

Joining a league and taking a club are separate steps. On Choose your team, select an available CPU-managed club. Taken teams remain visible so you can see which clubs already have a GM.

You inherit the club’s existing roster and record. Each person can manage one team per league and participate in several different leagues.

5. Prepare for 6:30 p.m. Eastern

Online game days simulate automatically each day at 6:30 p.m. Eastern, using the America/Toronto time zone. Set your lineup and tactics before the simulation begins.

Games run on the server. You do not need to keep your browser open. Return afterward to view the results and available replays. During a simulation, wait for it to finish before making lineup changes.

6. Build your league community

The commissioner can create an invitation link for friends. Use the league mailbox and GM wall to talk with other managers and discuss players or trades.

If a GM leaves, the CPU takes over that club. A new GM who claims it continues its history rather than starting a new team.
