Some good news for your pool this Tuesday morning, starting in Toronto. We also have two goalies already confirmed for tonight.
John Tavares is getting close
John Tavares skated this morning in a non-contact sweater and is now considered day to day, per the Maple Leafs, as reported by Chris Johnston. His return is getting close. Before he got hurt, he had 7 points (2 goals, 5 assists) in 7 games, 4 of them on the power play. His last game was on Oct. 15.
Pool take: if you set him aside while he was out, now's the time to keep a close eye on him. He was scoring at a point per game and he's a big part of the power play, which makes him nice value as soon as he's back. No exact return date has been announced.
Jacob Fowler in net against the Jets
The Canadiens host the Jets tonight at the Bell Centre and Jacob Fowler gets the net, per Eric Engels and RDS. The young goalie is on fire with a 7-1-0 record, a 1.84 GAA, a .932 save percentage and 2 shutouts in 8 games.
Pool take: Fowler is one of the hottest goalies in the NHL right now. Poolers chasing wins have every reason to like him tonight.
Dan Vladar for the Flyers against the Wild
In Philadelphia, the Flyers confirm Dan Vladar will be in net against Minnesota. He's 3-3-2 with a 3.23 GAA and an .885 save percentage in 8 games.
Pool take: Vladar is still a riskier pick with those numbers. In a daily pool, he's mostly worth a look if you're hunting for a value option.
Enjoy the games!
