A rumor is not confirmed news. We sum it up in our own words and update it when it is confirmed or denied.

  1. Rumor

Nikita Kucherov · Steven Stamkos · Tampa Bay Lightning

    1. Rumor

David Pagnotta (Off The Roster, Nov. 2) says talks never really moved forward and Tampa's last offer was four years at $15 million a year. That lines up with what other insiders have reported since Monday.

“4x15, I believe that was their last offer”

    2. Rumor

Elliotte Friedman (FAN Hockey Show, Nov. 2) thinks Kucherov saw what happened to Steven Stamkos and didn't want that same uncertainty in May or June. Tampa may not see the two cases as similar, but the player clearly does.

    3. RumorOriginal rumor

Pierre LeBrun (The Athletic, Nov. 2) asked what happens if Tampa caves and offers $20 million a year over six years. He was told Kucherov still wouldn't sign. He feels so disrespected that it's too late. A happy ending in Tampa looks very unlikely.

      “it's too late for that”
