Rumor
Brandt Clarke ·
Hayden Hodgson · Los Angeles Kings · Ottawa Senators
Bruce Garrioch (Ottawa Citizen) expects Hayden Hodgson to have a hearing with the NHL's Department of Player Safety today for his hit to the head of Brandt Clarke. A suspension looks likely for the Senators winger.
Eric Stephens (The Athletic) reports Peter Laviolette called Hodgson's hit as dirty as it gets and expects it to be looked at. No update on Clarke, who looked OK leaving the rink. He's being evaluated.
“He's doing well, but he's under examination”
The Kings confirm Brandt Clarke won't return against Ottawa with an upper body injury. He'd just taken a heavy hit from Hayden Hodgson, who was tossed from the game. Clarke has 9 points in 12 games, so watch his status before Saturday.
